Welcome! Here is the r7 remote shell configuration management framework web page.

This software is currently in beta, tests are welcome.

R7 is a remote shell configuration management framework designed to:

• work within site specific repositories organized with groups and nodes
• group functions and execute them in parallel on a list of nodes (hosts)
• map the executions (_run/) to a tree structure (_output/)
• trace the executions of functions and report issues or changes

R7 is inspired by the rset tool and is currently used as deployment and automation gear for inda.re.

Installation

To install r7 in the default /usr/local prefix, use:

make install

or

make install PREFIX=/some/path
